Letting Go
The Morning Alchemy collection began with a commission that almost stopped me in my tracks. As an abstract artist, there are moments when the pressure to control every color and movement in a painting can become overwhelming. For a while I found myself overthinking the process, almost frozen by the idea of getting it exactly right.
Eventually I stepped back and allowed the paint to move more freely. When I let go of control, the colors began to mix and flow naturally across the canvas. Layers of warm browns, soft greys, and metallic accents created depth and texture, revealing a style that felt both elegant and comforting.
" The palette and movement Of Morning Alchemy carried a feeling of quiet luxury and warmth — like slow coastal mornings with coffee in hand or the cozy comfort of hot cocoa during the holidays "
What began as a single abstract painting turned into a series. The palette and movement carried a feeling of quiet luxury and warmth — like slow coastal mornings with coffee in hand or the cozy comfort of hot cocoa during the holidays.
Living and painting in Sarasota, Florida, I often find inspiration in the calm atmosphere and natural colors around me. The Morning Alchemy collection grew from that moment of letting the painting form on its own — where color, texture, and light come together naturally.
